So nearing the need of week one of “the new business”.
A Note on the Why?
I regularly do little pet projects like this but don’t progress them. Doing it live on social media is keeping me a bit focused.
The whole purpose of this series of posts and associated work is to show how much time it takes to setup an online business when you are doing a day to day job and even for someone like me who had the expertise and team to get it done. Ultimately I know
- this will be either an idea that becomes a revenue stream or not.
- help me to develop some workflows and materials for clients to show case toe them in a workshop how we would help them to set up a business and the associated costs in time and money.
State of Play Day 4-5
As I mentioned in other posts this is a sideline so squeezing it in with other things is a challenge. Yesterday morning I spent 2 hours on 3 calls alone and in a crazy guy move I finished work at 5.30 for a change but I still got things done of course with help.
I haven’t kicked the Ads back in yet as the landing page is still not right and automated as well as I like as if this does generate leads I want as few touches on it as possible. But we have made significant improvements on it.
I spent an hour gathering all the logos and merchandise we have designed over that past few years for portfolio items (yes now you know it is a logo design / branding site) and Darko is mocking these up better into examples for portfolio pages. I don’t plan to spend an awful amount of time working on these but 4-6 case studies of work is important for this as well.
Today (Friday) I won’t get much done as I plan to test drive the process a bit and synch it in with my current onboarding process.
My mental goals is to kick Google Ads on again Tuesday and see what happens with it.
And I created a FAcebook page – more on that on another day!
