I talk on a lot about to clients the importance of content for SEO and not a day goes by when I don’t have content idea which goes something like this.
- Create a website – super simple don’t worry about design.
- Get writing as much ss you possibly can about a range of topics about a specific topic area.
- Make sure that there is enough content that you don’t run dry on it.
- Write long form content 1500+ words as blog posts.
- Enure it si unique easy to read and useful
- AGain don’t worry one bit about the layout design.,format focus exclusively on the content.
- Make sure that the content is optimised per topic
- Have internal links within posts which is a solid basic SEO tactic.
- Do this for 300-60-90 days
- Track traffic growth.
I have never done this for myself. So I decided on my holidays to do it for two weeks and see what happens.
What is more interesting is that it is a topic which I know absolutely nothing about but for which there is a rich source of online and offline information on. Also what is nice about it is that in Ireland the amount of online information is at best shallow.
And a disclaimer is that my wife is an expert in it but not really into the Internet so my plan is to use her vast range of resources and create a site with the following simple goals.
- Grow traffic to 20-30 visits per day in 60 days
- Grow traffic to 100-150 visites per day in 120 days
- Once this is reached try and get some very very modest affiliate revenue from it.
- If point 3 works then double down on the traffic goal and see if I can hit 1000 visits week before Dec 2022.
