Adding SEO

Here is a message from the Department of Important Facts.

You don’t  “add SEO” to a site.  SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation and is the process and tasks (of which there are many) to help your site rank for certain keywords.

There isn’t a checklist or a plugin or a button that any website design company or agency ticks to “add it”.

In WordPress there are so called SEO plugins that give the impression that if you follow will give you a final SEO result.  Yers they help set titles, keywords and slugs.  If you have no idea what any of these terms mean don’t  sweat it as the plugins help.

But in any decently. competitive market optimising your website is only part of the SEO puzzle.  In fact any website company  worth their sauce should do this anyway.
